Police named two men as suspects in an armed Orchidland home invasion that occurred Tuesday morning.
Two brothers, 30-year-old Wesley K. Brooks and 33-year-old Kalei K. Brooks, are wanted after two men broke into an Orchidland residence early Tuesday and ordered the couple inside to open a safe at gunpoint.
The two men removed 10 firearms — including several pistols, shotguns, high-powered rifles and a 7 mm rifle — 4,000 rounds of ammunition and cash. They then fled the scene using the victims’ vehicle, a white 2012 Toyota Tundra with license plates reading ZEN 009.
The Brooks brothers have no listed address but are known to frequent the Puna District. The suspects are described as between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, with one weighing about 150 pounds and the other about 225 pounds.
Police consider both brothers to be armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about the case or the suspects’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Police Department at 935-3311.
